'Inspiration' Railway 200 Exhibition Train

Inspiration, Railway 200's Travelling Exhibition Train is visiting Bishops Lydeard at the West Somerset Railway between 24th & 30th November 2025.

Inspiration is a static, interactive exhibition train on a 60-stop year long tour of Britain for Railway 200, the national celebration marking 200 years since the birth of the modern railway. It brings the story of Britain's railways - its past, present and future - to life through immersive displays, personal stories and hands on exhibits.

Inspiration is for everyone, and is fully accessible. Inspiration is designed to engage people of all ages. Curated by the Railway 200 Team and the National Railway Museum, Inspiration features interactive displays throughout four carriages each offering a unique experience. Shuttle Train:
There will be a free shuttle train on 25th and 28th November only between Taunton and Bishops Lydeard Stations for those who have pre-booked an Exhibition Train ticket. Please see the West Somerset Railway website for timings. Please be aware that timings are subject to change at short notice.
