Handprinted Lampshade

Create your own beautiful lampshade from hand-carved stamps.

Join printmaker Alex Williams for a brilliant multi-skill workshop where you’ll design, carve, print, and assemble your very own unique lampshade.

Alex will guide you step-by-step through carving your own set of stamps, then show you how to plan and handprint your designs onto pre-cut strips of natural cotton fabric. You’ll have plenty of time to practise your patterns before printing your final piece.

Once your fabric is ready, you’ll turn it into a stunning lampshade, ready to brighten up your home with your one-of-a-kind design. The finished lampshade is a 20cm diameter drum shade. This friendly, hands-on session is perfect for anyone who loves to make, create, and take home something truly special.

Please feel free to bring along a packed lunch to enjoy in your lunch break, tea and coffee will be available in the workshop room.
