Essay Writing Mini-Workshop

This week, we'll learn a bit about what's expected of an essay in the philosophy department!

Written works in all fields have their own quirks, philosophy is no different. Getting comfortable with writing in a specific style takes time. Hopefully, this meeting will ease the start of that process for those new to philosophy. We'll start with a brief overview of what to do and what not to do in an essay (courtesy of Mats Volberg). Afterwards, we'll take a look at a couple of real examples of essays from current students, with the opportunity to ask their authors questions as we go.
