Join us for a transformative evening at Sunset Meditation at the serene Rabkin Japanese Gardens September 17th from 7:00–8:00 pm.
Gates open at 6:45 pm — we encourage you to arrive a few minutes early to settle in and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before we begin.
If you arrive after the meditation starts, no worries — we’ll have a quiet space set up so you can join without disruption. Just park in the lot and make your way into the garden.
🌟 What to Expect
This special evening will feature a guided meditation led by Kristy Joy, thoughtfully integrated with a Crystal Sound Bowl Bath by Quest. Surrounded by the beauty of the garden at dusk, this immersive practice invites you to ground into presence, reconnect with your breath, and let sound and stillness carry you into deep rest.
🌦 Weather + What to Bring
Rain or shine, the experience will be beautiful. You’ll have a front-row seat to the natural wonder of the setting sun.
Please be mindful of your comfort and dress in layers. Bring hats, jackets, slippers, or blankets — whatever helps you feel grounded and at ease. We will also have umbrellas and extra blankets on hand if needed.
đź«– Nourishment
We’ll have light snacks, bottled water, and assorted hot tea available throughout the evening.
If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate you.
♿ Access + Support
The building is fully accessible, and restrooms will be available. If you have any special needs or requests, don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re here to support you.
🌱 A Few Gentle Guidelines
1. No News
To help you fully drop in and connect, we ask that you turn your phone off or on airplane mode during the meditation. If you need an emergency contact number to share ahead of time, let us know, and we’ll provide one.
You’re welcome to take photos of the garden, and we’ll set aside time after the meditation for you to capture the beauty around you.
2. No Shoes
We invite you to leave the outside world “outside” by removing your shoes before entering the garden. If barefoot isn’t your thing, cozy slippers or flip flops are perfect. If it's chilly, feel free to keep your shoes on — your comfort comes first.
