Current students of the organ (age 11-21 years) are invited to join us for a FREE masterclass with cathedral organist Liam Condon, on the exceptional organ of St Editha’s, Tamworth.
Described as a ‘Rolls Royce of organs’, the 1927 Harrison & Harrison organ is Grade I listed, with over £100,000 spent on restoring it just under 10 years ago. A jewel in the crown of this beautiful Norman church in the centre of Tamworth. Liam says “This is a really wonderful organ, one of the very best in our area!” Come along to see what he’s talking about!
Please bring along your repertoire to share with the group. Liam will offer guidance on organ registration, and will be available to answer your questions on life as a cathedral organist and Organ Scholarship routes.
All levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. We may split the workshop into groups so please let us know what stage you are at – Liam will be delighted to welcome you!
Don't play the organ yet? No problem! Take a look at our Come and Play event at St Editha's on the same day.
This event is organised by Lichfield & District Organists' Association. Please join us! - membership is completely free for full-time students.
Also check out other Workshops in Tamworth.
Tickets for Organists' masterclass can be booked here.
