On Saturday the 25th of October as part of Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge Kinetic Lab and Social Trak Club Tamworth will be hosting 'Kinetics Uncomfortable Day Out'.
Together with our goal of fundraising for 'we are mobilise', we want to get Tamworth moving and collectively run across Australia in one day, kilometre by kilometre, 4000 kilometres in total.
Hollie Webster and Daniel Nash will get the tally rolling, each running 100km on a 1km loop around Carter Street Baseball Fields and we would love for you to join, running as little or as many laps as you like between 4am and 5pm.
To be involved, you simply need to show up, however we are asking that a donation of $1 per 1km that you run or walk is made on the day or via our fundraising page before the event. If you have intentions of running 25km, 50k, 75km or joining for the 100km - we ask that you enter before the day by donating $1 per 1km and expressing your intention to join.
We will also be having 4 community challenges:
1. The Community Challenge - Can we collectively run the distance across Australia in one day?
2. School Showdown - Which school can run the most kilometres?
3. Workplace Warriors - Get your workplace moving and earn bragging rights as the winning workplace.
4. Gym/ Sports Club Battle - Who can go the furthest? Nominate your gym or sports club as your team on the day?
The day will be held at Carter Street Baseball Fields with activities for everyone, other challenges, BBQs and heaps more happening throughout the day.
Stay tuned, we will share more across socials and the Facebook event page over the coming weeks.
