A Series of Lectures and Discussions at Tallinn University
What has been missing in the discussion of Middle East conflicts in the Estonian media and politics, has mostly been perspectives of Palestinians and of scholars specializing in genocide studies, colonial histories, and Middle Eastern conflicts. These events seek to fill that gap and open space for informed, meaningful dialogue.
All interested participants are welcome to attend the following events:
4 December, 16:00–17:30 (Terra, T-223)
“Memory Wars and the War on Palestinian Memory: 77 Years of the Ongoing Nakba”
Prof. Ihab Saloul, University of Amsterdam
8 December, 16:30–18:00 (Mare, M-134)
“How and Why Genocide is Distinguished from Warfare”
Prof. Dirk Moses, CUNY
11 December, 16:00–17:30 (Mare, M-649)
