Get to know the Speaker:
Dr. Anthony (Tony) Cere, PT, DPT, MSE, MTC, Owner Kinetix Physical Therapy
Dr. Anthony (Tony) Cere, PT, DPT, MSE, MTC, D-EDX, is a licensed physical therapist with over two decades of clinical and entrepreneurial experience. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in 2000. He went on to complete a Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) in 2004 and a Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2006 from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. In 2011, he earned a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship (MSE) from the University of Florida. Dr. Cere completed a residency with Hands-On Diagnostics (HODS) in 2024, where he received advanced training in diagnostic testing, including electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction studies, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Since 2000, Dr. Cere has practiced in Gainesville, Florida, with a primary focus in outpatient orthopedics. In 2008, he and his wife, Dr. Melissa Cere, PT, DPT, founded Kinetix Physical Therapy. Following completion of his entrepreneurship degree, the couple began expanding their practice—opening a larger facility in 2017 and launching a third clinic in August 2023.
A committed professional leader, Dr. Cere is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA), where he serves as Payment Chair. He has also held a seat on the Executive Council of the FPTA’s Northern District and currently serves on the Business Advisory Board for HODS.
Dr. Cere has contributed to the scientific community through published research in Pain journal, specifically focusing on behavioral physical therapy interventions for acute and sub-acute low back pain. From 1995 to 2003, he served in the Florida Army National Guard.
Outside of his clinical and business pursuits, Dr. Cere enjoys spending time with his family, engaging in outdoor activities, and cheering on the Florida Gators.
