Jamming with Cellist Carol Anne Bosco

Do you want to get better at playing with others in open-ended jam situations? SMT alum and eclectic cellist Carol Anne Bosco will be joined by multi-instrumentalist Justin Heath to teach this class about listening, finding the pocket, managing space, improvising, and playing well together. Students will have an opportunity to play with others on a variety of instruments and learn how those instruments can fit together successfully in a cooperative and supportive setting. By the end students will gain insights on arranging and composing for small ensembles as well. This class is best for players with basic proficiency on their instruments.
