林其勻的創作，常以童年的回憶為起點，將細膩的思念與愛意化作陶土的形象，重構那些陪伴成長的庭院片段。此次展覽回望一段與「鳥屋」有關的記憶：童年時，父親親手釘製的鳥屋靜靜懸掛於松樹上，卻始終未曾迎來真正的棲息者。那份長久的等待，成為她凝視窗外的習慣，也是一場持續至今的捉迷藏。
在記憶的再現裡，等待逐漸轉化為對「缺席」的理解。那些從未落腳的麻雀，或許曾經飛過，只因微小的時間與空間差異而錯身而過。透過陶土的縮放與想像，藝術家將「空屋」化作能承載無限情感的象徵，傳遞出一種關於愛與思念的信念——即便不在同一個時空，彼此仍以不同方式真實存在。
林其勻
林其勻，1990 年生於台灣，畢業於國立臺南藝術大學應用藝術研究所陶瓷組。她曾於日本、韓國、芬蘭、美國、新加坡駐村與駐校創作，作品獲新加坡國立教育大學典藏，並於 2013 年入圍第一屆新北市陶藝獎。現定居台南，專注於陶藝創作。
她的靈感多源於日常與童年記憶，特別是對兒時玩具與陪伴的珍視。透過陶土自由的比例轉換，她以澄澈單純的眼光回應世界，將愛與思念凝結於作品之中，化為觀者得以共鳴與感受的溫柔片刻。
KimKim Lin’s work often begins with childhood memories, transforming delicate longings and affection into clay forms that reconstruct intimate fragments of a childhood garden. This exhibition reflects on a memory of a “birdhouse”: in her childhood, her father crafted the birdhouse by hand and hung it quietly on a pine tree, yet it never welcomed an actual occupant. That prolonged waiting became a habit of gazing out the window—a game of hide-and-seek that still lingers with her.
In reimagining memory, waiting gradually evolves into an understanding of absence. The sparrows that never settled may have flown by, only to miss her due to subtle shifts in time and space. Through scaled clay forms and imaginative rendering, the artist transforms the “empty house” into a symbol carrying boundless emotion, conveying a belief in love and remembrance—that even across different times and spaces, those bonds remain tangibly present.
KimKim Lin
Born in 1990 in Taiwan, KimKim Lin graduated from the Ceramic Department, Graduate Institute of Applied Arts, National Tainan University of the Arts. She has undertaken residencies and teaching projects in Japan, Korea, Finland, the United States, and Singapore. Her work is included in the collection of the National Institute of Education, Singapore, and she was shortlisted for the 1st New Taipei City Ceramic Award in 2013. She currently lives and works in Tainan, devoting herself to ceramic art.
Her practice draws inspiration from everyday life and childhood memories, particularly the cherished objects and companions of her youth. Through playful manipulation of scale in clay, she responds to the world with a clear, childlike gaze, condensing love and longing into her work and offering viewers moments of gentle emotional resonance that endure.
