Speaker Information: Jeff Wacoche is in his first term as the elected Chief of the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma (UKB). Before being elected as Chief, Wacoche was elected as the Assistant Chief where he served for 4 years. Chief Wacoche began his service on the UKB Council as the elected Tahlequah District Representative on the UKB Tribal Council. Chief Wacoche also serves his community as a member of the Claremore Service Area Indian Health Service Advisory Board and the Tribal Interior Budget Council.

Chief Wacoche is an active member of the National Congress of American Indians, the United Indian Nations of Oklahoma, Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, Tahlequah Chamber of Commerce, and the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma, Eastern Chapter.

Chief Wacoche has been a trained nurse for 29 years. He and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for 28 years, and have 2 daughters, Jennica and Britanie and 2 sons, Nicholas and Edwin.
