Drink Drugs Hub

Morning everyone!

You may recall our recent post about the increasing issues around availability of drugs for young people?

We are very pleased to be able to offer an information session with our friends Matt from Drink Drugs Hub an Gavin from North Yorkshire rise.

Matt will give a presentation on the availability of drugs, what they look like and how young people may present if taken. Gavin will talk about any help that’s available for those that need it.
We also work closely with Tadcaster Grammar School and they too will be joining us, as will our friends from the Bridge project.

Our youth team have done this very same training and it is incredibly informative and interesting. As a Mum or two teens I know how important it is to be clued up on what’s out there.
This isn’t about judgement on anyone or saying “well my child would never!” It’s about getting the info you need about what is out there and how best to deal with any problems that might arise. The drugs scene has changed enormously and whilst young people have always experimented the availability of substances and costs has changed significantly. This is a nationwide issue, not just Tadcaster.

We are asking people to book a space so we have an idea of numbers for tea and biscuits �
