A Mezei – Márkos Duó 1997 óta, immár majdnem 30 éve létezik és aktív, a duó repertoárja a teljesen szabad, spontán improvizáció. Mindketten részt vettek és részt vesznek Márkos és Mezei különböző, nagyobb formációiban, mindketten aktív színházi zeneszerzők, régi, nagyon jó barátok, ami ugyancsak nem mellékes. Eddig 9 duó CD-jük jelent meg: Korom (Creative Sources, 2008), Dér (Bandcamp, 2016), Köd (FMR), Pára (BC), Zápor (BC), Cseppharmat (BC), Zúzmara (BC), Hamu (BC), Szél (BC). Ezen kívül számos CD-n közreműködnek nagyobb formációkban.
The Mezei–Márkos Duo has been active since 1997 – nearly three decades of continuous collaboration. Their repertoire is rooted entirely in free, spontaneous improvisation. Both artists regularly perform in larger ensembles led by Márkos and Mezei, and they are also active as composers for the theatre. Beyond their musical partnership, they share a longstanding friendship, which deeply informs their interplay on stage.
The duo has released nine albums to date: Korom (Creative Sources, 2008), Dér (Bandcamp, 2016), Köd (FMR), Pára (BC), Zápor (BC), Cseppharmat (BC), Zúzmara (BC), Hamu (BC),
and Szél (BC). In addition, both musicians can be heard on numerous recordings with larger ensembles.
