Felix Free is a seasoned artist and lyrical craftsman whose music carries a pure intention: to hit listeners in the heart. With a golden-era Hip-Hop essence and lyrics that raise vibrations, his live performances are an uplifting experience, blending positivity and musicianship with a touch of grit.
As a founding member of the internationally known Luminaries, Felix Free has spread light through music worldwide. He’s collaborated with Trevor Hall and the Luminaries on the inspiring song “Be The Change” and has toured with iconic artists like Matisyahu. Felix’s roots as a community advocate, working with homeless youth and individuals living with HIV, shine through in his heartfelt, socially conscious lyrics and performances.
Originally from Southern California, Felix made the move from the “hood to the woods,” relocating to rural New York to give his family space and connection to nature. This shift inspired his ethos, music, and the tagline, “Hood to the Woods.” Felix recently released his first full-length album, “Rocketship Theory,” a 30-minute journey of transformation, produced by Marv Ellis of Free Creatures. The album features collaborations with Myka 9 of Freestyle Fellowship, Casandra Lewis, Emily Turner, and Anthony Brewster of House of Vibe.
In addition to his solo projects, Felix leads an East Coast ensemble called the Rxcketeers, based in New York. This dynamic band brings his vision to life on stage, delivering high-energy performances infused with heart and grit. Felix Free has also been known to perform with Venice, California’s House of Vibes All Stars and Southern Oregon’s Free Creatures, demonstrating his versatility and collaborative spirit.
Felix Free’s dynamic stage presence has captivated audiences in venues large and small, lifting spirits and breaking barriers with his mantra: “I don’t know you, but I still want to see you shine – Good people, good vibes.”
Beyond music, Felix is a dedicated cannabis connoisseur and part-owner of 6 Point Cannabis, where he explores the intersection of wellness, creativity, and community.
From sharing the stage with legends to elevating the energy in any room he steps into, Felix Free continues to deliver real Hip-Hop and positive vibrations to the world.
