A former CNYSME Board Member, Matt Read is the co-founder and host of the national television show, Spatchcock Funk. He grew up professionally in the ad agency world, having worked for Ogilvy, and a number of other agencies, including Mower and was the COO at Digital Hyve. After his advertising career, he was a professor of practice at Le Moyne College and operated a small marketing consultant boutique, Royal Punk Android.
Matt is active in the community, volunteering for various boards and organizations, and their show, Spatchcock Funk has worked with/for a number of local non-profits, including McMahon Ryan foundation, Onondaga Historical Association and the Food Bank.
Matt and his partner Alex launched the fun televised and online party experience, Spatchcock Funk. Their tagline is Dope food + Strong Drinks = Good stories. They focus on showing you how to throw parties that feel exclusive but are totally inclusive - and give you all the recipes, cocktails, tips and tricks to throw the best dinners, parties and adventures with your friends. They've written recipes for Tito's Vodka, worked with Sam Adams, Wisconsin Cheese, Dinosaur Barbecue, the American Lamb Board and other food and beverage brands.
