The very first Dinner and Temple Outing of the 46+ Weber Region Single Adults at the Syracuse Temple will take place on Thursday, Jan. 8. (Our very first Regional Dinner and Temple Outing ever occurred on Dec. 4, with a visit to the Ogden Temple). In the future, we hope to have two Dinner and Temple Outings a month, one in Ogden and another in Syracuse.
Some people assume that the Syracuse area belongs to the Davis Region; after all, Syracuse is in Davis County. But the Weber Region covers Weber and Morgan Counties, and the northern sliver of Davis County, including Syracuse, Clearfield, Sunset, Clinton, and the northern part of Layton.
You can join us only for the dinner if you choose, or only for the Temple, or for both activities. We will start this Dinner and Temple Outing with a dinner at 5:45 PM at the Hug-Hes Cafe, at 2432 West 1700 South. Hug-Hess has a broad menu of American cuisine at a moderate price, including several items for $12 or more. To check the menu:

We plan to enjoy tasty food and great conversation until shortly before 7 PM. We will then take the short, 5-minute drive to the Syracuse Temple, with the goal being to step into the Temple no later than 7 PM. Most of us will probably attend the endowment session at 7:30 PM, which happens to be the last such session of the day. If you would like to do another ordinance in the Temple, that is fine. Whatever you decide to do in the temple, please make your own reservation. The Temple does not require reservations, but they are encouraged -- especially for the last endowment session of the day.
Directions to Hug-Hess: From I-15, from either the north or the south, take the Antelope Drive exit westbound (towards the Lake). You will drive for a few miles and then pass a Walmart on your right. Continue straight to the next shopping center, again on your right-hand side, and you will see Hug-Hes as one of several adjoining businesses.
Directions to the Temple from Hug-Hess and Antelope Drive: Turn right (westbound) just past Hug-Hes, onto 2500 West and drive northbound for a few blocks until you see the Temple on your left.
