Current Conversations: Syracuse Mayoral Forum

On Thursday, Oct. 23, our newsroom staff will interview candidates running in this year's Syracuse mayoral race as part of our Current Conversations series.

The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Everson Museum's Hosmer Auditorium. Please take a moment to reserve your seat today.

All candidates who have an approved ballot line will be invited, including Sharon Owens, Thomas Babilon, Tim Rudd and Alfonso Davis.

An election is not a single day event: rather, it is an ongoing process of conversation, education, and questioning that should ultimately bring community members together over shared goals and shared frustrations. Reading about candidates and watching them on your screens is important, but there is a special quality to joining your neighbors shoulder to shoulder and hearing Syracuse's next mayor speak directly to you about their vision.

We hope you will not only join us for the event, but also help by inviting your friends to participate along with you.

The forum is free and open to the public, and audience members will also have an opportunity to submit questions ahead of time for the candidates to answer. It will not be livestreamed, however a video recording of the event will be made available.

This event is designed to help voters prepare for the general election, which will be held Nov. 4, 2025. Early voting will begin Oct. 25. This page will be updated as more details become available.
