Hands-On Mission Work for Youth, Parishes, and Service Teams
What is the Homebuilding Program?
At Project Mexico and St. Innocent Orphanage, homebuilding is more than just construction—it’s a life-changing mission. Our volunteers work hand-in-hand with local families to build safe, sturdy homes for those living in extreme poverty. With each home we build, we offer more than shelter—we offer dignity, stability, and the foundation for a brighter future.
A Transformative Volunteer Experience
Our Homebuilding Program is a deeply immersive volunteer service opportunity designed for parish groups, youth ministries, Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) chapters, and mission-minded teams. Whether you join us for a day or a full week, you’ll engage in meaningful hands-on work that combines physical labor with spiritual growth and reflection.
As a volunteer or group leader, you’ll be equipped with everything you need—from training materials and fundraising tools to on-site guidance. We support you every step of the way as you organize, lead, and inspire your group to serve those in need.
Why It Matters?
Every home built is a tangible expression of faith in action. Many families in Mexico live in unsafe, makeshift conditions that can’t protect them from the elements. Your participation in a homebuilding trip directly changes this reality. With each roof raised, you're helping break cycles of poverty and inspiring hope for future generations.
Who Can Participate?
Our volunteer homebuilding program is open to:
Church and parish groups
Youth ministries and high school students
Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) college chapters
Mission-minded families and individuals
Whether you come for a day or a week, all participants are welcome. No prior construction experience is needed—just a heart to serve.
