Introduction to Embroidery

Have you ever wanted to learn to embroider? In this class, we will start at the beginning and make a stitch sampler. While there will be a pattern to follow, you will be encouraged to use your creativity with different types of threads and designs. The “rules of embroidery” will be taught, and then you will be immediately encouraged to break them.

You will be guided through seven of the foundational stitches, including the running stitch, backstitch, satin stitch, blanket stitch, French knot, as well as the decorative stitch, couching.

No previous experience is necessary. All materials will be provided. Class size is limited to 6 students. Ages 14 and up. Registration required.
