Laser Tag @ The Rec

The Sylacauga Parks and Recreation will host Laser Tag on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the J. Craig Smith Community Center. This time, we’re transforming the entire Recreation Center into a full-scale laser tag arena for an action-packed experience!

Laser tag is a recreational game where players score points by tagging opponents’ infrared-sensitive vests using a handheld infrared device. Unlike paintball, laser tag is completely painless—no projectiles, no mess, just safe, fast-paced fun for all ages.

30-minute time slots are available from 5:00–8:00 PM, with groups capped at no more than 16 participants. Each reservation equals one game. Upon arrival, players will be split into two teams that will battle it out - winner will be the last team left standing. CACC’s Adult Learning Program will be on site providing refreshments for guests who attend.

The cost is completely FREE, but reservations must be made in advance. Time slots can be booked online at Sylacauga.recdesk.com under the Special Events category or by calling the J. Craig Smith Community Center at 256.249.8561.

Laser tag is open to ages 4 and up. Come join the fun!
