Incoming Freshmen Curriculum & Course Selection Night

Incoming Freshmen Curriculum and Course Selection Night is one of the first transition activities for current 8th grade students and their parents in beginning the class planning process for the 2026-2027 school year. We cannot stress enough the importance of attendance at this meeting as you help your child prepare to enter high school; in this meeting, parents and students will hear from counselors about class requirements, registration for classes, our Naviance online career program, and due dates for schedules. After the presentation, parents and students will be dismissed to attend the Curriculum Fair in the Fieldhouse, where every department in the high school will be represented. Parents and students will have the opportunity to learn from the teachers what is being taught in the different departments at the high school from art to social studies to music.

Incoming Freshmen Curriculum and Course Selection Night will be held in the SHS Auditorium on Monday, January 12 at 6:30 PM.
