September Pet Social at Cedar Ridge
11am • Saturday, September 20th
Cedar Ridge Distillery & Winery
1441 Marak Rd NW, Swisher, IA
It’s back to school season and we’re not just talking about humans. This month’s Pet Social is all about calm greetings, polite public behavior, and getting your pet back into training mode after a summer of freedom.
We’ll gather on the beautiful outdoor patio at Cedar Ridge Distillery for lunch, connection, and a real world training session that builds your Adventure Team’s confidence and neutral behavior around people, pets, and distractions.
✨ RSVP required by September 15th at kingscreatures.com/pet-socials
Space is limited so every handler and pet has room to train and enjoy the outing.
This isn’t your average pet meet up.
It’s part of a bigger culture shift where pets are calm, handlers are confident, and Adventure Teams set the standard for what public pet behavior should look like.
That’s how we change our communities: one calm patio lunch, one quiet walk, one proud moment at a time.
Who can come:
Pet Socials are open to King’s Creatures clients only, whether you've completed a consultation or are an active member of the King's Creatures Adventure Team Club.

What to bring and what to expect:
• A 6 foot leash (no retractables)
• High value treats to keep your pet focused
• Water for your pet and poop bags
• A willingness to lead by example as we practice therapy animal level manners
We’ll focus on calm engagement, neutral greetings, and staying composed in a stimulating social setting.
A quick reminder:
There are no on leash greetings allowed during the Social. That includes dogs in the group or dogs passing by. It’s a safety thing and it helps our Adventure Teams stay neutral and relaxed. I’ll help you explain the reason if needed.
Suggested donation:
These Socials are free to attend, but we suggest a five dollar donation per pet and handler team to support Living Creatures Ministry, our nonprofit helping train therapy animals for work across Iowa and beyond.
Your pet is working hard. Let’s celebrate it with food, community, and a calm, confident outing together.
See you at Cedar Ridge!
