With a big smile and a happy exhale, I’d love to invite you to join me for a weekend of song, rest, and togetherness. At the turn of the seasons, when the days grow shorter and the nights draw in, there is nothing more nourishing than gathering our voices, sharing meals, and resting in the warmth of community.
This weekend gathering is all about the joy of singing for yourself, with others, and being held by the magic of harmony. Whether you’re a Singing Mamas leader, one of their singers, or a friend from my wider singing circles, you are so welcome here.
The Simply Singing Retreat is a lovingly held residential weekend of:
Group harmony singing – songs to uplift, soothe, and connect
Song-sharing circles – space to practise teaching or simply offer a song
Gentle movement – to soften, ground, and free the voice
Nourishing home-cooked food – warming meals and tasty snacks
Cosy evenings by the fire – laughter, sharing, and rest
Light-touch ceremony – moments of reflection, gratitude, and connection
This retreat is open to Singing Mamas leaders, their singers, and friends from Kate’s wider singing groups. Whether you’re leading songs for others or simply love to be carried by harmony, you’ll find yourself welcomed and supported.

Arrive: Friday 31 Oct from 12:30 (lunch at 13:00, first singing session at 15:00)

The Venue: Lower Shaw Farm
Lower Shaw Farm is a quirky, heart-filled farmhouse on the edge of Swindon, lovingly run by Matt and Andrea. It has long been home to retreats, courses, and gatherings that nurture creativity, connection, and wellbeing. With its rambling farmhouse kitchen, cosy nooks, big skies, gardens, chickens, and friendly farm atmosphere, it’s a place that invites you to slow down and feel at home.
It’s not a polished hotel — it’s something more precious: a warm, lived-in place full of character, community, and care. Perfect for retreating.
Accessibility
Lower Shaw Farm is a converted farmhouse with bedrooms spread across two floors. Unfortunately, this means you’ll need to be able to climb stairs to access most sleeping spaces. Bathrooms are shared. The venue is cosy, characterful, and rustic rather than modern — but full of warmth and welcome.
