We are very excited to be bringing two of our favourite acts back to town at the same time. The fantastic Oxbowlake and also just as fantastic Jess Marie Music have teamed up for a night of musical fun, not only with their own sets but also their brand new duo project!
The two them have come together to create Caught In The Moon, an on and off stage partnership blending the warm guitar work and harmonies of Oxbowlake with the melodic, emotive vocals of Jess Marie Music, resulting in an Americana folk sound rooted in heartfelt storytelling and rich harmony. Currently recording their debut release, Caught in the Moon are quickly building a reputation for honest songs, genuine connection, down to earth stage presence and the kind of sound that stays with you long after the last note, resulting in an authentic and captivating musical experience.
Ahead of this we have Oxbowlake, an eclectic folk punk artist known for atmospheric soundscapes and introspective lyrics. Formed in Newport, South Wales with influences ranging from Radiohead to Frank Turner, Oxbowlake’s music is characterized by lush instrumentation, haunting melodies, and poignant storytelling.
Opening proceedings is Jess Marie, a solo ukulele artist, writing original music inspired by the likes of First Aid Kit, The Beautiful South and Fleetwood Mac and sometimes throwing a cover or two in for good measure! She writes honest music straight from the heart that audiences connect with and relate to. Her debut single "The Bull and The Butterfly" is available across all streaming platforms and she's currently recording more!
