Capote Making Class

Capotes are traditional Métis jackets that were made from Hudson Bay point blankets. This workshop will teach about the history and culture of these traditional jackets. Each participant will receive all supplies (including a traditional Hudson Bay wool blanket) to make their own Capote Jacket to keep. Participants should make their own arrangements for lunch. Space is very limited, so register early!
Due to the value of the blankets, this class is usually over $400. We are offering it for $200 ($250 if non-métis) as a way to educate and share traditional culture.
