Join us for a te Pā Meet the Winemaker Supper Club! What better way to immerse yourself in the world of te Pā wines than by having them introduced to you by the man who makes them!
te Pā has been home for 800 years. Haysley MacDonald planted vines on his family’s land on the Wairau Bar in 2003 with a vision of creating a premium range of wines to connect the taste of his home, te Pā, with wine lovers all around the world. With winemaker Sam Bennett guiding the wines, te Pā now produces exceptional Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir Rosé, and Pinot Noir, under the te Pā banner and also two high quality, value ranges; Pa Road and Koha. Today, te Pā is an international brand - but the taste of home is unmistakable.
We'll be joined by te Pā winemaker Sam Bennett and Emma from importer Schenk to talk us through each wine.
A highly awarded and internationally experienced winemaker, Sam believes great wine is all about respect. Respect for the fruit, the land, the people and the process.
Sam comes from Whangarei in the far north of the New Zealand and studied biology, oenology and viticulture at Waikato University. He has over 20 vintages under his belt from New Zealand and around the world and has been named as one of the world’s top 100 master winemakers by leading wine publication, Drinks Business.
Places are limited to 40 in our Walter Road shop. This will be a seated tasting. We'll pour you a glass and talk you through each wine and serve you some of Clare's delicious accompanying food.
Please note: These are e-bookings only. No physical tickets will be sent. Just turn up on the night with your confirmation email (or even the name the booking is under).

Please note - while we will always do our best to accommodate everyone's needs, this is not always possible due to the size of our kitchen. As we have a very small kitchen with a pizza oven, we are unable to cater for gluten free or coeliacs.
