It is the summer’s great last heat,
It is the fall’s first chill: They meet.

Please join us as we gather in community and welcome the fall season.
This is a wonderful time to practice gratitude for the bright spots of the year and clearing the way for a new beginning. During the autumnal equinox, the sun shines directly on the equator, and the northern and southern hemispheres get the same amount of sun rays.
Lisa Kawski & Kampa Vashi Deva lead our ceremony this autumnal day as Seasonal Ceremonial Leaders. They are grateful for their predecessor, Don Orne, who began and carried forward these celebrations for many years. The format will be similar, but they will be sharing their talents, loves and skills within the community.
What to expect:
+ Opening: blowing of the conch shell as the sun rises on the horizon
(all are welcome to bring metal instruments such as Tibetan bowls & tingshas (chimes) to "wake up" with the sun as well)
+ Chanting song about the Sun:
We Are One (Under The Sun) by Wade Imre Morissette
Lyrics: We Are One Under The Sun ~ We Are One Under The Moon
+ Opening remarks (gratitude) and Intentions
+ Calling in the Seven Directions
+ Gong & Drum Sound Bath
+ Communal Sharing (bring a poem, song or something you would like to share with the group ~ keeping to a few minutes)
We are praying for beautiful weather on this morning ~ clear skies & warm temperatures, but come prepared for what may be.
May all who enter the circle be inspired by love, art, science and the mystery of the Universe (Khrena)
