Create Your Own Yule Log

Please join Kayleigh in creating your own Yule Log for the Yuletide season!

What is Yule? Yule is a pagan celebration of the winter solstice. Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year and is celebrated for 12 days and nights. This year it begins December 21st, 2025. Yule is about celebrating the rebirth of the sun. A popular tradition during this time is the burning of a Yule log which symbolized the shifting of darkness to light. These logs are often decorated with pinecones, ivy, holly, fruits, cloves, cinnamon sticks, evergreens, candles etc

In this class you will be provided material (mostly foraged by Kayleigh and her husband) to decorate your log.
Materials include the wood log itself, candles, evergreens, cinnamon sticks, holly, dried fruit, pinecones, acorns, charms and more! Please feel free to bring material of your own that you wish to add!
