This 10-week Qigong term offers a structured and supportive introduction to traditional Chinese movement and breath practices designed to cultivate balance, calm, and embodied awareness. The program focuses on learning Shibashi Set 1 and 8 Pieces of Brocade, two gentle sequences that emphasise fluid movement, coordinated breathing, and mindful attention.
Across the term, participants are invited to slow down, step out of habitual mental busyness, and reconnect with the body in a steady and grounded way. Drawing on principles from Chinese medicine, the practice explores the relationship between movement, breath, emotional regulation, and internal balance. Each session supports the circulation of Qi through the body, helping to release tension, improve posture, and promote a sense of ease.
Classes are suitable for complete beginners and are taught with clear, accessible instruction. With regular practice, Qigong can support improved energy, emotional steadiness, and a calmer, more settled state of mind.
