Screaming O Sailing, Trans Northland and the Duluth Yacht Club are collaborating to fundraise and honor a Duluth community member this September.
Kai Hoenig had been involved with the Duluth Yacht Club for the majority of their life. Kai was one of the kindest people on the water and would be the first to volunteer when work needed to be done. Whether it was climbing the mast to install a new wind vane, diagnosing gremlins in the autopilot, or getting sails on deck when the rest of the crew was too sick from sea state, Kai was always there.
We’re coming together for a weekend in September to honor Kai and raise awareness and funds for Trans Northland!

10:15 am radio call/skippers meeting
11:00 first start
3:30 social, followed by awards at The Caddy Shack
