Welcome to the 5 year anniversary for one of the popular pickleball tournaments in Europe (Net Promoter Score/NPS of 83!). Being one of the most classic pickleball tournaments – for the 5th year anniversary we are looking to make it one of the most classy.
That’s why we are – dum duh duh dum – moving it from Helsingborg to Stockholm and Pickla Solna Business Park!
Why?
Pickla is one of the very best, if not THE best, pickleball arena in Europe. And here’s why:
Forget about travelling long distances to venues on the outskirts of town that can only be reached by taxi - Pickla Solna has a great location in northern Stockholm (30 min from the airport) but also with immediate access to subway, tram and buses!
Forget about a venue where all courts are lined up next to one another in a straight line giving spectators limited possibilities of following the action! At Pickla, courts are placed in a circle - giving you great access and overview of all eight superb courts from the central lounge area, which is also the place to get some of the best coffee and refreshments you can come across in European pickleball. And speaking about that…
Forget about dry sandwiches and lukewarm coffee! At Pickla Solna you can get stylish fresh made salads, oven baked pizzas. And for the coffee - barista espressos or lattes as many as you want!
And when you are done playing - forget about long travels to get to the hotel! Pickla has several business hotels (high quality - but cheap on weekends) in walking distance.
Forget about tape - because you will not see a single piece of it!
Forget about portable nets that don't stay in shape! Here all lines are permanent and the nets Premium nets from Joola that weigh more than most players (Gustaf is an exception...).
Finally - forget about matches that are over before you even get started, i.e. one game to 11! All matches across all divisions at JOOLA Sweden Open 2025 Powered by Tournated are played best out of three games, first to 11. Just the way pickleball is supposed to be played.
So if you want to compete with the best, in the best conditions - this is the tournament for you. If you want to blame the nets, bad bounces or something like that - this is not it.
