Summer is soon behind us and our Fall Plant Sale is right around the corner. Which means we can now sow those seeds suited for the cooler seasons. Learn the ins and outs of propagating California native plants from seed. This hands-on workshop covers basic seed physiology, seed viability, germination cues, pretreatments, sowing and aftercare.This informative course is suitable for both professionals and anyone interested in learning propagation techniques for their home or community garden. Each student will take home the seeds they’ve sown! All materials provided. Class includes a tour of TPF seed facilities.Seed kits include:reusable flats, pots and plug trays10 species of cool season seedstagscomprehensive sowing + resource guideThis class takes place indoors and outdoors. Please wear closed-toe shoes, bring water and sun-protection.Ella Andersson is TPF's Botanical Technician in the Seed and Conservation Program and a certified horticulturalist with many years of expertise.
