Arizona Dive Center is proud to offer the SSI Classified Dive Buddy Course, designed to teach divers how to safely and effectively assist a Classified Diver — someone with limited mobility, sensory challenges, or other disabilities.
During this course, you’ll learn:
✅ How the SSI Classified Diving program works
✅ Communication and buddy techniques
✅ Equipment configurations and adaptations
✅ Entry, exit, and in-water assistance skills
✅ Emergency planning and problem-solving
This training includes classroom sessions, pool practice, and open water training, giving you the hands-on experience to become a supportive and reliable Dive Buddy.
🎓 Prerequisites: 18 years of age or older, Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent), current medical form (may need Dr Signoff), Diver Stress / Rescue Certification and current React Right First Aid / CPR (or equivalent).
