Missouri and Illinois Float the Meramec River

Location: Meramec State Park 

Missouri and Illinois are getting together to float the Meramec River.  We will be camping at Meramec State Park in Sullivan Missouri.  Everyone is in charge of booking their own camp site at https://mostateparks.com/park/meramec-state-park . Stephanie and Jessa have a campsite where everyone will be hanging out for a camp fire Friday and Saturday night.  We will be hosting a hike Friday with more info to come.  

Saturday we will be Floating 10 miles on the Meramec through 3 Bridges Raft rental.  Everyone is in charge of booking their own Kayak.  DO NOT WAIT! These are first come first serve. Go to https://www.3bridgesraft.com/ to book yours today! Cost is $60.

Due to local guidelines and regulations, Women Who Explore will be limiting the  number of attendees per event. Each member attending the event will be  required to register through Eventbrite.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Pack your full supply of water for the day. 

• Pack snacks & a light meal. 

• Dress warm & in layers. Consider wearing a base layer & bringing an extra. • Warm gloves & hat 

• Rain coat top layer 

• Shoes with good traction 

• A light backpack to put layers in as you shed them 

• Handwarmers & toe warmers (optional) 

• Headlamp or flashlight 

• Personal COVID hygiene kit 

** PLEASE NOTE: Ambassadors are not wilderness first aid certified. This is a  casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please  plan accordingly.** 

By registering for this event, participants agree to abide by the guidelines set  forth by Women Who Explore which include: 

• Practice self-awareness and do not attend if you have had any flu-like  symptoms, exposed to or have tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days. ˜

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

If you are registering for one of our group events, we ask that you are 100%  committed to attending when you register. If you reserve a spot and are unable to  attend, please cancel as soon as possible on Eventbrite. We ask that you try to  cancel a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of the event as this allows other  women who would like to attend the ability to plan to join us.
