Free and open to the public. A monthly Mindful Nature Walk series begins this summer at alternating locations between Cullinan Park Conservancy and Seabourne Creek Nature Park. Each 90-minute mindful nature walk will be guided by Texas Master Naturalist Tierra Ortiz-Rodriguez and mindfulness teacher Selvi Ramasamy.
Mindful nature walks invite you to slow down and sense the world around you while practicing mindful movement, mindful breathing, sensory awareness, and nature meditation. For naturalists, this practice enhances observational skills and enables new ways of knowing about the natural areas within our communities.
Mindful Nature Walks will be held on the first Saturday of the month at 9:00am, alternating between Cullinan Park and Seabourne Creek Nature Park. Please dress for current weather conditions. Bring a hat, water bottle and bug spray. In the event of rain or inclement weather the walk will be cancelled.
