Academy for Aviation Information Session @ Roxbury HS

8th Grade Students and Parents/Guardians are invited to learn about the located at Roxbury High School.

The Academy for Aviation is designed to meet the increasing need in the aviation industry for airline pilots, drone pilots, and aircraft maintenance. The program will provide students with rigorous standards, opportunities and aviation experiences. Offering a robust curriculum that covers three areas of focus- Aircraft Pilot, Drone Pilot, and Aircraft Maintenance, students will be prepared to sit for their Private Pilot written test, the Part 107 drone license test and an introduction to aircraft maintenance and repairs.

The academy programs at MCVSD allow high school students to explore specialized fields of study while completing their academic requirements. Each academy offers a unique course sequence along with opportunities for internships and college credit. Combining rigorous academics with hands-on, career-focused learning, the programs help students develop essential skills and prepare for future opportunities.

• Learn about the Aviation career pathway program that extend beyond a traditional high school curriculum
• Understand the admissions process
• Tour the facility
