Chipping Into The Past: Live Flintknapping Demonstration

Ever wondered how stone points and other tools were made thousands of years ago? Step back in time with master flintknapper and artist David Slamka as he brings this ancient craft to life in a free, hands-on demonstration.

Watch history take shape as David and museum staff reveal the tools, techniques, and types of stones used by people of the past. You’ll also get a chance to see a selection of local stone artifacts from the Museum’s collection.

The demonstration will take place outdoors at the Museum (weather permitting).
