This workshop creates a hands-on space to explore life planning, collective strategies and mutual support for migration processes including appeals, positive lists and planning, tapping into the artistic community’s own strengths, skills, and organisational resources.
This workshop provides three sessions.
1. First a session for artists, creatives, and educators in the cultural sector to understand the legal definitions, statuses that grant stay in Denmark, and guidance to navigate the asylum system and processes.
2. After lunch, there will be a collective session that will primarily address questions that have been sent to the organisers beforehand,
3. and finally, there will be a session on examples of past and present opportunities for creatives at risk.
Participants will gain practical tools and advice for navigating legal matters in their artistic practices.
Join us for a day of sharing, connecting, and rethinking support—lunch and snacks included!

AKK – Almene Kunstnklubber (CAC - Common Art Clubs) organises art clubs in six public housing areas in Denmark, reaching over 20,000 residents. The initiative aims to integrate both art and decision-making directly into the housing communities and to connect these areas with the wider world. AKK’s vision is to make public housing residents active participants in the Danish art scene and provides a shared resource of artists, mentors, methods, and experiences that grows as more initiatives join.
