Term 4: Tuesdays from 9th September-14th October
Beginner Historical Dance: 6:30-7:30pm
Intermediate Baroque Dance: 7:30-8:30pm
Week 6 of Term will be a special class with both classes combining from 6:30-8:30pm for a social dance evening featuring a display of the dances we have learnt.
Term fee: $150
If you would like to attend both classes each week it will be $230.
Classes are paid by the term, registration will close 29th August.
Beginner:
Shakespeare to Austen-200 years of literary dance
This beginner course will explore dances from 1600-1820. Immerse yourself in the court of Louis XIV to the assembly hall of Jane Austen’s Bath.
This is a beginner class so things will move at a slower place to make sure no one is left behind.
Intermediate:
‘The Favourites’
This term will feature class favourite ‘Folie d’Espagne.’ We will work on technique and performance before diving in from the beginning of Folie.

What to bring:
Comfortable clothing
Dance shoes – Jazz or Ballet flats or small heeled character shoes. Dance shoes are essential for intermediate class but comfortable, low grip shoes will be fine for beginner class.
Water bottle!
Class etiquette:
It is a requirement that you participate in the warm-up so please be ready to dance at your class start time.
The steps are simple and easy to execute, but as with any dance, please be careful if you have any injuries and let the teacher know before class starts.
