York Street Thought Process is a charming folk duo featuring Jaron Camp and Rachael Frankruyter. Together, that offer an intimate and captivating show, incorporating a playful mix of singer-songwriter folk and improvisation. Inspired by both current folk musicians (Adrianne Lenker, Jason Isbell) and great legends (John Prine, Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan), York Street Thought Process blends honest storytelling with a multitude of instrument switches from mandolins to baritone guitars.
York Street Thought Process has captured the attention of audiences across Southern Ontario with their playful approach to folk music. Together, they have performed at a wide range of venues, most notably playing Rum Runners (London, ON) & Burdock Music Hall (Toronto, ON) during their album release tour in 2024. A year after the release of their debut album 'Roots', the duo ventured off to the East Coast of Canada to record new music in 2023. This resulted in their sophomore album, 'Colder' which is out now. The album has been described as 'incredibly well crafted' (CBC, 2024) and has gained recognition from Exclaim!, CBC, Stingray, and charted for multiple consecutive weeks on CHRW, reaching no. 2 for multiple weeks at its highest placement.

Jaron Camp is a guitarist and singer-songwriter from St. Marys, Ontario. After years of performing as a side-musician for artists such as Emm Gryner, Camp has been pursuing his love of lyrical folk music by writing and recording his own original music. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Jason Isbell and Bob Dylan, Camp weaves together improvisational playing and evocative lyrics. Jaron has released an album through the indie-folk duo project York Street Thought Process and a solo debut album "Fruitful Consequence".
Folk singer-songwriter Rachael Frankruyter is a classically-trained vocalist from Stratford, Ontario, Canada. Frankruyter's soft vocals are paired with honest storytelling, and sweet guitar tones, pulling listeners into a feeling of warmth and comfort. Frankruyter has released two EPs and is currently in the midst of releasing four singles as a part of her Factor funded project. Aside from her solo endeavours, Frankruyter is a part of the duo York Street Thought Process, and is the keys player in Chasing Records.
