Theodore Judson, Stratford's longest serving lighthouse keeper, invites you to join him on a tour of Stratford Point and the Stratford Point Lighthouse. Theodore and Kate Judson will be opening their home and lighthouse for you to tour and inspect.
Mr. Judson will be describing the history of Stratford Point dating back to the 1600s as well as his own personal experiences at the lighthouse. Additionally, Mr. Judson will lead you along the shoreline at Stratford Point describing points of interest, revelry, and history.
The cost of the open house and tour is $10 per person which will be donated to Stratford’s the America250-Stratford Committee. The committee will be sponsoring a number of activities in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The open house and tours are sponsored by the Town of Stratford and the America250-Stratford Committee.
Children under 12 years of age will not be permitted to enter the lighthouse. If you have any mobility issues such as bad knees, bad hips, or impaired movement on one or more limbs, you should not register for a time slot. Registrations are strictly limited to 15 attendees per tour date.
