A Rusty and wEIRD Hallows' Eve - Rusty with wEIRD bUG

This four-piece Toronto-based alt-rock band formed in 1994 and their debut full-length studio album 'Fluke' brought home the 1996 Juno Award for Best Alternative Album. Between 1994 and 2000, the band released three full length studio albums and one EP on Handsome Boy Records, and featured on various compilations and soundtracks before disbanding in late 2000. In 2011, Rusty reformed for the NXNE festival and maintained a presence in the scene, culminating in the 2018 album ‘Dogs of Canada’.

Born in the early days of the pandemic, this Stratford three-piece alt-punk band has a noble heritage, featuring Stratford natives Tim Nicholls and Lennie Haggerty (Soylent Green, Lungbutter, Sing That Yell That Spell). With London-based guitar wizard Mike Gibbons bringing a deeply evolved melodic and harmonic energy, the band found their creativity ignited and have been steadily writing original alt-punk-rock songs for a changed world. wEIRD bUG finally burst into the spotlight with their debut show to a sold out audience in May of 2025.
