Earning your Private Pilot Certificate marks the beginning of an exciting journey in aviation—join us as we celebrate this incredible milestone!
Students who have earned their Private Pilot Certificate at Kent State or completed their first flight course are invited to participate in our ceremonial pinning of wings. During this special ceremony, each pilot will receive two sets of commemorative wings presented by Kent State alumni pilots—a larger set for formal occasions and a smaller lapel pin for everyday wear.
This meaningful tradition connects our newest aviators with the proud legacy of Kent State's aviation program, as they're welcomed into our community by those who've walked this path before them.
