Sheer lyricism and its fabulous dramatic power made the Franck sonata the chamber music icon it is today. Here, paired with Brahms' G-major violin sonata, the first of his three such works, this incomparable masterpiece affords us ringing proof of the enduring appeal of Romantic repertoire at its finest. Two acclaimed Boston chamber musicians - violinist Daniel Kurganov and returning pianist Constantine Finehouse - team up with the lyrical, transparent 1882 Erard concert grand for a chamber afternoon we'll long remember. La Grua's celebrated acoustic will simply purr!
Tickets $25 online only. There may be a limited number of tickets available at the door the day of the concert. Doors open at 4:30pm. Ages 18 and under admitted for free!
