BRAIDING FOR BEGINNERS WORKSHOP

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of this workshop is to teach the basics of braiding a cornrow 

IN THE WORKSHOP, STUDENTS WILL LEARN TO:

-Part a clean part.

-Correctly place their hands and fingers on head.

-Braid a cornrow.

LENGTH OF CLASS:

2 ½ hours of hands-on training

PROVIDED TOOLS FOR WORKSHOP:

-Mannequin*

-Mannequin table Stand*

-Clips/Clamps

-Combs

*These tools CAN be taken home if you add the "Mannequin and Table Stand" ticket.

BRAIDING IS A BASIC SKILL EVERYONE SHOULD LEARN AND KNOW. BRAIDING IS THE FOUNDATION FOR A LOT OF STYLES. AFTER COMPLETING THIS WORKSHOP, STUDENTS WILL HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF PARTING A CLEAN PART, PROPER HAND AND FINGER PLACEMENT, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, BRAIDING A NEAT CORNROW.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

As long as you are capable of learning, you can attend this workshop

Can I bring someone with me to the workshop?

If notified in advanced, and if space permits, you ARE ONLY allowed to bring a model to use instead of a mannequin.

What's the refund policy?

If you have purchased a ticket and can NOT attend, there will be NO refunds, however, you can choose to take another workshop at another time that works best for you.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes, it is perfectly ok to purchase a ticket as a gift for someone else! 

What if I do not know how to braid at all?

Then this workshop is for you!

In what instance would I choose to purchase a 1 on 1 ticket?

There are a few instances where you may choose to purchase a 1 on 1 ticket:

- If you prefer a more private, hands-on workshop

- If none of the dates and times listed work well with your schedule. If this is your case, you are able to choose a day and time that works best for you

-If you have a group of people interested in the workshop and you want it to be a private workshop
