The Winter Gathering - Volunteer Training
Urban Wilderness CIC is putting on a spectacular Winter Gathering event on Saturday 13 December, 4-6pm in Longton and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to be part of the fun and help make the event a success.
It'll be an afternoon/evening of entertainment and music building to a breathtaking parade with giant puppets and a fire show. Volunteers will need to be available from 3pm in Longton.

We have a variety of roles available - from parade stewards to taking part in the parade itself! You’ll find out all the details and choose your preferred role at the Volunteer Training on

♿ Accessibility Information:
The venue is step-free and wheelchair accessible. Toilets are gender-neutral but located up two flights of stairs, which may be difficult for those with mobility needs. The nearest accessible toilet is at The Coffee House, around 200 metres away.

Longton Train Station is less than a 5-minute walk from the venue.
🚌 Multiple bus stops along The Strand offer services to and from Newcastle and Hanley.
