About the event

Hazel Grove Orchestra Concert

Our concert on November 29th includes Schumann's Rhenish Symphony, written in 1850 and inspired by the Rhineland. Unusually there are 5 movements. The 4th movement was inspired by Cologne's gothic cathedral (pictured). The opening theme, played by horns and trombones, is a common trombone audition piece.
