Venerable Thubten Khadro leads a Weekend Course in the Buddhist Center Sampo in Helsinki and online, September 27-28. She will also give a public talk on Friday evening, 26th September.
During this weekend, we will explore what it means to cultivate calm and compassion. We get to know the Buddhist meditation tradition, especially the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and practice various meditation techniques. The foundation for the meditations is the Buddhist philosophy and its understanding of the mind. To participate in the course, you do not need previous experience in meditation; curiosity and an open mind are enough!
These teachings are especially recommended for people new to Buddhism, and a great opportunity for anybody to join. You will learn methods to transform destructive thoughts and attitudes and develop a more positive and joyous mind. Everyone is most welcome to join this enlightening course!
