What is Fusion?
Fusion is not its own style of music or dance, it is an invitation to take the dance skills that you already have, outside of the culture and rule systems where you usually use them, to combine them with different dance partners. Maybe you like breaking rules? Maybe you are tired of the norms about who should lead and who should follow? Maybe you can’t follow a specific pattern, but love to improvise and lead/follow your partner in the dance you create in the moment? Maybe you have become bored of the music that you usually dance to? Or maybe the community where you dance has left you feeling underwhelmed in some way.
Whatever reason that brought you here, we welcome you… you rebel you. And even if you're not a rebel and just want to explore movement in a different and playful way to different types of music, you've come to the right place.
We start with an intro class, while the theme of the class varies each month, we don’t usually try to teach you basic steps in a specific type of partner dance. Instead, we aim to teach you how to integrate your own dance style, with the many different ways that other people might choose to dance.
Sometimes our class themes could explore variations on a type of movement, or different ways that you can choose to dance to specific styles of music or rhythm, how to both lead and follow, how to maintain flow or groove with a partner, or how to dance really small and make it feel awesome.

The most essential thing is to not assume what people want. Ask if people want to lead, follow or switch, ask if you want to hug and ask if you want to dance another dance.

A selection of light snacks, Tea and Coffee is available in the café, included in the price.
We stop serving fika ~30 minutes before closing. (Please return your cups to the kitchen if you leave earlier!)
