Jazz på Hellsten presenterar BAGIS BEBOP

Med stepp/tap som percussion är BAGIS BEBOP ett helt unikt band som gör livliga spelningar med mäktigt sväng!
En ovanlig sättning nuförtiden men ofta förekommande back in the day. Den afroamerikanska perkussiva dansen var ett av fundamenten i uppkomsten av jazz, och musiken & dansen är två sidor av samma mynt. Bagis Bebop blandar klassiska standards med egna favoriter och nytt eget material. Swing, bebop, latin, etc, med massa rhythm & groove och improvisation & lekfullhet!

With tap dance as percussion, BAGIS BEBOP is a unique band that does high energy shows with a mighty groove!
An unusual setting these days but often found back in the day. The African-American percussive dance was one of the foundations in the emergence of jazz, and the music and the dance are two sides of the same coin. Bagis Bebop mixes classic standards with their own favorites and new material. Swing, bebop, latin, etc, with lots of rhythm & groove, improvisation & playfulness!
